The 2026 Town of Cochrane Canada Day Celebration is happening Wednesday July 1 at Mitford Park 

Get ready for a full day of family-friendly fun, starting at Noon and running straight through to our
spectacular FIREWORKS finale at 10:45pm

The Children’s Theatre Stage, presented by the Black Box Theatre Guild, will showcase performances by the Kinkonauts, CowTown Brass Band, Gustavo, and the Triple Fun Show

Back for another year, the Rocky View Brewing Beer Garden (18+), relax and enjoy a cold drink in our licensed area while taking in the live music. Please note The Beer Gardens is only open to those 18+. 


We need volunteers to help us throughout the day! Please help us run a successful event by signing up for an activity.

Transportation and Parking

PLEASE NOTE: There is NO parking available near Mitford Park. Seriously, none. You will get frustrated if you try to drive to the park because you will be turned away. Please save us all the headache and use one of the following methods to get to the event:

Shuttles - For the Shuttle pick-up/drop-off (PUDO) locations at Mitford Park, some of the shuttles are going to be doing PUDO on the north side of West Rock Rd, just east of Westside Dr, and some will be doing PUDO on the west side of the Westside Dr, north of West Rock Rd. Look for sandwich board signs!

See graphics below for Southland and COLT shuttle pick up locations and approx times. COLT buses can accommodate wheelchairs. Both shuttles can support wagons/strollers if they fold up. 

Parking lots with easy access:

  • Bow Valley Baptist Church (walkable)

  • Riverfront Park (walkable)

  • SLS Centre (shuttle)

  • Parking lot next to Cochrane Library (shuttle) 

Other transportation methods:

  • Ride your bike - There will be bike valet parking courtesy of Bike Cochrane so bring your bike locks

  • Bird Scooters - Jump on one of the new scooters and ride along the river.

Handicap Parking - There is very limited handicap parking available at Mitford Park. Your blue placard must be visible upon approach to the Security tent.
